VAZ-2106 and its modifications are five-seater passenger cars with a front engine and rear drive wheels. The body is a load-bearing structure, all-metal, welded. Body type is a sedan.
Engines – four-cylinder, in-line, four-stroke, petrol, with a working volume of 1.5 liters (VAZ-21061, VAZ-21065-01) or 1.6 l (VAZ-2106, VAZ-21065-00) and power (according to GOST 14846) 71.4 and 74.5 hp respectively.
The VAZ-2106 and VAZ-21061 cars are equipped with four-speed gearboxes. The VAZ-21065-00 and VAZ-21065-01 cars have a five-speed gearbox and a contactless ignition system.
