VAZ-2115
VAZ-2115 is a front-wheel drive car of the Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ of a small class of group II. It was produced from 1997 to 2012, and the car has been mass-produced since 2000. Model History
VAZ-2115 became the first car of the line «Samara-2». Initially, they planned to modernize not only the appearance, but also the chassis - brakes, suspension and transmission. But in the end, these plans failed to come true and all these elements were almost completely transferred without changes from VAZ-21099. This has its advantages, since spare parts have remained the same and cheap.
The exterior design has changed quite significantly. The body has become more streamlined, the headlights have become narrower, the taillights have also been updated, the trunk with a spoiler with an additional brake light, bumpers and moldings have been painted in body color (before they were black), The salon remained the same, and with the start of mass production in 2000, it was also greatly updated.
From that moment, only injection engines with distributed fuel injection began to be installed. Carburetor engines were 1.5 liters with 72 hp, injection 1.5 liters with 78 hp, and in 2007 they began to install a 1.6 liter engine with 81 hp. The transmission was only a mechanical 5-speed.
In 2004, the car completely replaced its predecessor, which had previously been produced in parallel. In 2008, we had a small facelift. In 2012, the car was discontinued and replaced by the new Lada Granta sedan.
VAZ-2114
VAZ-2114 is a front-wheel drive car of a small class II group of the Russian automaker AvtoVAZ with a five-door body «hatchback». Produced from 2003 to 2013. Is a car restyling VAZ-2109 and belongs to the family «Lada Samara-2». Over the 10 years of the existence of the model, 923 thousand copies have been produced. In 2013, it was completely replaced by the new Lada Granta hatchback.
Model History
The car was unveiled to the public in 2001 and production began in April 2003. Changes in the external design were similar to the VAZ-2115, and the interior was immediately updated with a new instrument panel «europanel» and onboard computer. Many new options have appeared, such as a tilt-adjustable steering column, a new heater, front power windows, a safety steering wheel from VAZ-2110.
First, a 1.5-liter injection engine with distributed fuel injection was installed on the car. Since 2007, they began to install a 1.6-liter engine with phased fuel injection that meets Euro-3 standards, and the model received the VAZ-21144 index. At the same time, the cable gas pedal was replaced with an electronic one. In 2010, some modifications began to install 16-valve engines with a capacity of 90 hp. The transmission on all modifications is a five-speed manual.
VAZ-2113
VAZ-2113 - Russian front-wheel drive car of a small class II group with a three-door body «hatchback». Produced from 2004 to 2013 at a plant in the city of Togliatti. Is a deep restyling VAZ-2108 and belongs to the family «Lada Samara-2». External and structural modifications are identical to the VAZ-2114 model. Over the entire period, about 73 thousand cars were produced. In 2010, a new Lada Priora Coupe was released, which later replaced the VAZ-2113.
