History and description car VAZ-2107 «Zhiguli»

VAZ-2107 "Zhiguli" is a Soviet and then Russian small car of the III group. The body is made in the form of a "sedan", the engine is located in the front longitudinally with a drive to the rear wheels through a cardan shaft. It was produced at the plant in Tolyatti from 1982 to 2012. It is the last model of the AvtoVAZ "classics". It has other official names - Lada-2107, Lada Nova, Lada Riva, and is popularly called the "seven".

The car is a logical continuation VAZ-2105 and its improved modification. The main differences from the "five" are a more powerful engine (77 hp), an enlarged radiator grille, taillights, improved front seats, a modified instrument panel, plastic bumpers instead of aluminum, the shape of the hood and trunk lid, and many changes have been made to the interior.


In recent years, production has done everything to reduce the price of the car. They began to use cheap plastic for finishing, removed the ashtrays of the rear doors, removed the washers and headlight cleaners, saved on the sound signal, and also due to the reduction in cost, the appearance has changed a little. The cheapness and prevalence of the "seven" made it the most tuned car of domestic production, and also formed a market for "improved" spare parts.
