Replacing rear lights and license plate lights (VAZ-21061)

Remove the trunk trim (see Replacement of trunk upholstery). We mark the wires or remember the order in which they are connected.



Disconnect the junction block...



...and four tips from the flashlight terminals.



Using an 8 mm socket, unscrew the two screws securing the license plate light.



We unscrew the four nuts securing the rear light...





...and remove it together with the license plate light.

To replace the license plate light bulb, remove the lamp seal.



We remove the bracket with the socket from the housing and change the lamp.

Note: On early production vehicles (with metal tail light housing) we change the license plate light bulb by removing the socket through the hole in the rear panel.
