The oil pump drive gear is located in the cylinder block hole under the ignition distributor (carburetor engine) or a plug (injection engine).
The work is shown using a carburetor engine as an example.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the ignition distributor (see "Ignition distributor - removal and installation").
3. We install a pointed wooden stick into the splined hole of the oil pump drive gear with tension and remove the gear from the cylinder block.

Installation
1. Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
2. On a carburetor engine, check and, if necessary, adjust the ignition timing angle (see "Ignition timing - checking and adjustment").
