The drive shaft is installed in a hole made in the front part of the cylinder block.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the ignition distributor (see "Ignition distributor - removal and installation").
3. Remove the fuel pump and pusher (see "Fuel pump - removal and installation").
4. Remove the oil pump drive gear (see above, "Oil pump drive gear - replacement").
5. Remove the auxiliary drive shaft sprocket (see "Timing Chain - Replacement").
6. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the two bolts securing the auxiliary drive shaft thrust flange and remove the flange.
7. Remove the roller from the technological hole in the cylinder block.
Installation
1. Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
2. Adjust the chain tension (see "Timing Chain - Replacement").
3. Adjust the tension of the generator drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Tension Adjustment and Replacement").
4. On a carburetor engine, check and, if necessary, adjust the ignition timing (see "Ignition timing - checking and adjustment").
