To complete the job you will need a new tie rod with an internal diameter of 44 mm.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. On a car with a carburetor engine, disconnect the additional muffler from the inlet pipe (see "Intake pipe - removal and installation"), and on a car with an injection system, we disconnect the neutralizer from the additional muffler (see "Catalytic converter - removal and installation").
3. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the clamp nut, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same size, and move the clamp from the connection point of the additional and main mufflers.

4. Apply penetrating lubricant with rust converter to the junction of the main and additional mufflers and let the connection "soak".

5. By turning the additional muffler relative to the main one and applying downward force, we separate the mufflers.
Installation
We install the additional muffler in the reverse order, applying graphite grease to the surfaces of the connections.
