Clean the contacts or replace the windshield wiper motor

The limit switch contacts are poorly pressed or oxidized

Clean the contacts, bend the switch plate if necessary or replace the gear motor

The crank mounting nut on the gear motor shaft has become loose

Once the crank is correctly installed, tighten the nut (apply paint or anaerobic sealant to the threads first)
