The cleaner consists of an electric drive (electric motor with gearbox) type ME-241 and lever system. Electric motor of the electric drive with excitation from permanent magnets, two-brush. To protect the electric motor from overloads or freezing of brushes to the glass or high resistance to their movement, since 1985 a thermobimetallic fuse of multiple action has been installed in the wiper.
Basic data for checking the electric drive:
- Electric drive shaft rotation speed* at a load torque of 0.1 kgf·m, min⁻¹ — 50
- Current consumption* at a torque of 0.1 kgf·m, A, no more than — 2.8
- Starting torque on the electric drive shaft*, kgf·m, not less than — 1.2
* At 14 V voltage and (25±10)°C temperature.
