If we are not removing the mechanism for replacement, then to prevent the cable from slipping off the guide grooves of the drum, we tie the two branches of the cable with wire in the place indicated by the arrows.

Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the cable pressure plates and lower the glass until it stops (see "Front door glass - removal and installation").
3. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, loosen the tension roller mounting bolt, move it and remove the cable from the roller.
4. Remove the cable from the remaining three rollers.
5. Using an 8 mm socket or open-end wrench, unscrew the three nuts securing the window lift mechanism.
6. Having lifted the glass, we remove the window lift mechanism from the technological hole in the inner door panel.
Installation
1. Lubricate the cable with plastic grease.
2. Install the window lift mechanism in the reverse order. Before adjusting the cable tension, untie the wire securing the cable.
3. By moving the roller, we tighten the cable and check the smooth operation of the drive.
