Note. The operation is shown on the example of a power window lifter. Features of removal and installation of a window regulator with a mechanical drive are specified in the text.
Removing
1. Remove the inner door trim.
2. Remove the plastic film from the front door.
3. Turning on the ignition, lower the door glass to a level that allows you to unscrew the two bolts securing the glass bracket to the power window (see point 5). We disconnect the wire connectors of the power window motor-reducer.
Note. If there is a power window lifter, to lower the window, put the handle on the window lifter shaft.
4. Remove the handle for opening the door lock with a pull.
5. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the glass bracket to the window guide. Raise the glass all the way up with your hand, and fix it with tape.
6. With a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts (1) window lifter mountings.
Note. The power window mechanism is mounted on three studs with 10 mm nuts. The holes for the studs are indicated in the photo (see pos. 2).
7. With the same key, unscrew the four nuts securing the window guide.
8. We lower the glass along the guides, remove the upper pin of the window guide from the hole in the door panel. Raise the glass, fix it with tape and remove the window regulator from the door.
Installation
We install the window lifter and all previously removed parts on the car in reverse order.
Helpful advice. Polyethylene film can be glued with any sealant.
