Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a 10 mm wrench, loosen the terminal nut and remove the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Similarly, remove the wire from the positive terminal.
4. Using a 13 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the retaining bar mounting nut and remove it.
5. Remove the battery from the engine compartment.
Installation
1. Before installation, use a rag to clean the surface of the battery from dirt and, if necessary, clean the battery terminals and the inner surfaces of the wire terminals from oxides (see "Battery pack - Maintenance").
Warning! The positive terminal of the battery has a larger diameter than the negative terminal. Reversing the polarity when connecting the battery will cause damage to the vehicle's electronic equipment.
2. Install the battery in the reverse order.
3. After installation, lubricate the terminals and battery leads with plastic grease.
