Removing
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the flywheel (see above, "Flywheel - removal and installation").
3. Using a 10 mm socket or spanner wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the clutch housing shield and remove the shield.
4. To replace the oil seal, it is recommended to remove its holder in order to avoid damage to the crankshaft flange when pressing the oil seal.
Using a 10 mm socket wrench, we unscrew the two bolts securing the oil pan to the holder and six bolts securing the holder to the cylinder block. Loosen bolts A and B.
5. We pry off the stuffing box holder with a slotted screwdriver and remove it together with the sealing gasket.
6. We install the holder in a vise and with a punch we knock out the gland through the cutout in the holder.
Installation
1. Lubricate the working edge of the new oil seal with engine oil.
2. We press the stuffing box into the holder through the mandrel (as a mandrel, you can use an old stuffing box or a piece of pipe of a suitable diameter).
3. Install all removed parts in reverse order.
