Using a screwdriver, press down one edge of the insert...
...and we take it off.
We remove the plugs from the terminals of the low brake fluid level indicator or take out the socket with the lamp (see Replacing the low brake fluid warning light).
We disconnect the instrument lighting switch connector.
We remove the block from the terminals of the hazard warning switch.
We disconnect the cigarette lighter wire plugs.
We replace faulty parts or the insert assembly, installing everything in the reverse order of removal.
