We pierce the skin with an awl - there is a stamping in the necessary places on the dashboard.
Through the hole made with a screwdriver, we press the spring retainer and remove the lower edge of the instrument cluster shield from the panel.
Similarly, we display the lower edge of the shield on the other side.
Disconnect the plug from the choke control switch.
Extend the shield as much as possible (steering wheel removed for clarity) and disconnect the drive from the speedometer by unscrewing the union nut of the upper end of the cable.
Leaving the combination hanging on the wires, we disconnect the six-plug...
...and eight-plug instrument connectors.
We remove the connecting blocks from the terminals of the switches, remembering or writing down the places of their connection.
We finally remove the instrument cluster.
Install the instrument cluster in the reverse order of removal. After connecting all the electrical connectors, we connect the battery, turn on the ignition and make sure that all devices work correctly. Then we fix the shield on the instrument panel.
