
Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the clamp bolt securing the exhaust pipe to the gearbox.

We unscrew the nut securing the flexible shaft of the speedometer drive.

Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the drive mounting nut.

Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the two nuts securing the cross member to the body.

We lower the rear of the gearbox so that the studs come out of the holes in the crossmember.

Using a piece of pipe, we move the gearbox to the right and remove the speedometer drive from the crankcase opening.
We install the new drive in the reverse order of removal.
To replace the flexible shaft, disconnect the upper drive cable mount from the speedometer (see Removal the instrument cluster) and remove it from the hole in the front panel of the body.
