Steering Gearbox — Checking Oil Level (VAZ-2107)

1. Before checking the oil level, wipe the plug and the steering gear housing cover with a rag.

2. Using an 8 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the filler plug.



3. Using a screwdriver or other suitable object, check the oil level, which should be at the lower edge of the filler hole.



4. When the level drops, add transmission oil into the steering gear housing through a funnel and tighten the plug.
