Replacing the door window lifter (VAZ-21061)

We take out the drop-down glass from the door (see Replacing the front door drop glass and Replacement of the sliding and fixed rear door glass). To prevent the window lift cable from slipping off the grooves of the drum, tie it with wire.

Using a 10 mm spanner, loosen the tension roller mounting screw (see Replacing the front door drop glass and Replacement of the sliding and fixed rear door glass) and remove the cable from it. Remove the cable from the remaining door rollers.



Using an 8 mm spanner, unscrew the three nuts securing the window lift mechanism...



...and we take it out of the door.



If necessary, completely unscrew the tension roller nut and remove the roller from the door.

Install the window lifter in the reverse order. Remove the wire only after the cable is tensioned.
