Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws...
...and remove the windshield pillar trim.
We remove the cover of the second pillar in the same way.
Remove the ceiling trim (see Replacement of ceiling trim).
We start working from one of the upper corners of the glass.
We use a slotted screwdriver to rest against the inner edge of the glass seal and tuck it behind the flange. We fix the seal by inserting a screwdriver into the resulting gap, but not too deeply, so that the glass does not crack. We continue to tuck the seal behind the roof flange with the second screwdriver.
First we "go through" the upper part of the glass, and then the two side ones. Simultaneously, we squeeze the glass out of the opening from both sides...
...and we take it off.
We remove the edging and seal from the glass.
To avoid scratching the new glass, spread a soft cloth on the hood or table. Place the glass on it.
We straighten and put the seal on the glass, starting from the corners and then along the entire perimeter.
We turn the glass over and, using side-to-side movements, tuck the edging into the seal.
We close the edging joint with a lock.
Turn the glass over again and insert a cord 4–6 mm thick and slightly longer than the perimeter of the glass into the sealant slit. We overlap the ends of the cord in the middle of the lower edge of the glass.
We apply the glass and center it in the body opening.
One person from the outside carefully presses on the lower part of the glass, and the second one - inside - begins to pull the cord out of the seal, first by one end, and then by the other. Pressing on the seal with your fingers, we seat it deeper on the flange. In this way, we "pass" the entire lower part of the glass.
Using gentle blows of the palm of the hand on the upper edge of the glass in a top-down direction, we "settle" the glass.
We pull the cord along the sides of the glass.
We tuck in the upper edge of the seal by pulling the rope in the direction from the edges to the middle and using our hand to "help" the seal sit deeper on the flange.
We install the ceiling and roof pillar trims in the reverse order of removal.
