Using a 30 mm spanner, unscrew the bipod mounting nut.
With a special puller (see Applications) we press the bipod off the shaft.
If the bipod cannot be removed with a puller, you can try to knock it off with a hammer.

We rest the bipod shaft against a wooden block. Using a heavy hammer (sledgehammer), we press down on one bipod stop, and hit the second one sharply with another hammer.
In some cases, you will have to sacrifice the bipod by cutting it with a cutting tool (grinder).
The bipod is mounted on the shaft in only one position: its splined connection has double recesses, and the shaft has double protrusions.
