Replacing the ignition coil (VAZ-21061)

The ignition coil is installed in the engine compartment on the left mudguard and secured with two nuts.



We remove the high-voltage wire from the coil cover.



Using an 8 mm spanner, unscrew the nut from the terminal marked with the letter "B" on the coil cover and remove the tips of the green and brown wires.

To avoid losing small nuts, we recommend baiting them into place.



Similarly, we disconnect the blue wire with a black stripe from the terminal marked with the letter "K".



If the colors of the wires are different, and this is possible, mark their position before disconnecting. From terminal "B" the wire is laid in the wiring harness, from terminal "K" - one connects to the terminal of the ignition distributor, the second goes into the harness.



Using a 10 mm spanner, loosen the coil mounting nuts three to four turns…



…and we take it off.

We install the new coil in the reverse order, following the recorded order of connecting the wires.
