Ignition coil — check (VAZ-21011)

To check the serviceability of the ignition coil, the following checks must be performed.

The ohmic resistance of the primary winding at 20°C should be 3.07–3.5 Ohms, and of the secondary winding – 5400–9200 kOhms.

When testing the insulation to ground, the ignition coil must be able to withstand an AC voltage of 1500 V and 50 Hz applied for 1 min between one end of the primary winding and the housing without causing discharges.

The insulation resistance to ground must be at least 50 MΩ.
