Remove the fuel tank cover (see Replacement of trunk upholstery).
Disconnect the tips of the three wires and the fuel hose from the fuel level sensor (see Replacing the fuel level indicator sensor).
To prevent any remaining fuel from leaking out, insert an M8 bolt into the hose and tighten the clamp.
Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the bolt and place the outer tank mounting clamp on the trunk floor.
We remove the filler neck cover from the flange around the perimeter of the opening.
We remove the fuel tank from the luggage compartment.
Attention! Before any repair of the fuel tank, it is necessary to thoroughly wash it from the inside with hot water and detergent.
We install a new or repaired fuel tank in the reverse order of removal.
