
Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the pump cover mounting bolt.

Remove the lid and carefully take out the mesh filter.
Inspecting the intake valve (for which we press on it with a thin screwdriver), if necessary, correct its position in the seat. Wash the filter in solvent and blow it with compressed air.

...and we separate these parts.
We check the exhaust valve in the same way as the intake valve. We wash the upper part of the housing in gasoline and blow it with compressed air.

Turning the diaphragm assembly 90°, we take it out of the lower part of the housing. We remove the spring from the rod.

Using an 8 mm spanner, unscrew the nut...

...and we remove in sequence: the upper steel cup, two working diaphragms, the outer and inner spacer gaskets, the lower cup and washer.
To avoid damaging the safety diaphragm, which eventually sticks to the body and gasket, when removing and disassembling the pump, we separate it with a thin knife or a flat feeler gauge.
After cleaning the filter and replacing the torn diaphragms, we assemble the pump in the reverse order of disassembly.

We install the mesh filter in the pump body so that its opening is located above the valve. The flange of the filter opening should fit into the valve opening.
After assembling the pump, we check its functionality. We lower the pump inlet fitting into a container with gasoline and press the manual pumping lever several times. A pulsating stream of fuel should appear from the outlet fitting. This means that the pump diaphragms are intact.
We lower the pump with the inlet pipe into the gasoline again and, having plugged the outlet nipple with a finger, create pressure in the internal cavity of the pump with the manual pumping lever. After 10-15 seconds, having released the finger, we check for residual pressure in the pump - gasoline should come out in a stream. If it is not observed, check the tightness of the connections of the body parts and valves. If it is not possible to restore the tightness by tightening the screws, it is better to replace the pump with a new one.
