Before removing the fuel tank 16 (see figure 13) disconnect the negative wire from the battery. Raise the rear seat cushion, floor mat and remove the hatch cover in the floor. Disconnect the electrical wires and hoses from the fuel level sensor 9. Remove as much fuel as possible from the tank.
Loosen the clamps 17 securing the fuel tank, disconnect the filler pipe hoses 14 and separator 10, remove the tank and drain the remaining gasoline from the tank.
The tank is installed in the reverse order.
