Carburetor Throttle Adjustment
a - partial opening of the throttle valve of the first chamber; b - full opening of the throttle valves; 1 - lever on the axis of the throttle valve of the second chamber; 2 - a lever that limits the opening of the throttle valve of the second chamber; 3 - a lever rigidly connected to the axis of the throttle valve of the first chamber; 4 – damper drive lever; 5 - throttle valve of the first chamber; 6 - throttle valve of the second chamber.
Adjusting the dampers on the removed carburetor (see Carburetor replacement).
We turn the throttle actuator lever until the upper antennae of the throttle valve lever of the first chamber touches the lever that limits the opening of the second chamber shutter.
In this position, we measure the gap between the damper and the chamber wall, which should be 6±0.25 mm.
If necessary, we adjust the gap by bending the upper antennae of the lever of the throttle valve axis of the first chamber.
By turning the lever, we open the throttle valve of the first chamber completely. The distance between the chamber wall and the shutter should be 13±0.1 mm.
We regulate the full opening of the damper of the first chamber by bending the lower antennae of the throttle axis lever.
The distance between the shutter of the second chamber and the wall should be 17±0.1 mm. The value of the maximum opening of the damper is regulated by changing the length of the pneumatic drive rod (see Carburetor repair).
