Attention! You can disconnect the wiring harness connector from the ECU only after disconnecting the wire from the battery terminal.
Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. For ease of access, remove the storage shelf (see "Instrument panel - removal and installation").
4. For ease of access, remove the bracket for the relay and fuses of the control system (see above, "Fuses and relays of the engine control system - replacement").
5. Having pulled out the lock of the wiring harness connector, we disconnect the connector from the ECU.
6. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the ECU. Remove the wire tips from the studs and remove the control unit.
Installation
Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
