Warning! Do not touch the ECU terminals with your hands: the engine management system is microprocessor-based, the electronic components of the ECU can be damaged by electrostatic discharge.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair") and disconnect the terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the right instrument panel console trim and remove the trim (see "Instrument panel - removal and installation").
3. After releasing the wiring harness connector lock...
...disconnect the connector from the ECU.
4. With a socket wrench by 10 mm we unscrew the four nuts securing the ECU to the bracket.

5. Moving forward, we remove the plastic bracket of the ECU from engagement with the studs of the bracket of the electronic units and remove the ECU from under the console.
6. Remove the ECU from the bracket.
Installation
We install the electronic control unit in the reverse order.
