Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. By pressing the latches, disconnect the wiring harness block from the sensor.
3. Connect "negative" voltmeter probe to "mass" engine.
4. Turning on the ignition, use a voltmeter to measure the supply voltage at the output "5" wiring harness pads.
The voltage at the output must be at least 12 V. If the voltage is not supplied to the block or it is less than 12 V, the power circuit is faulty or the computer is faulty.
5. We measure the supply voltage at the output with a voltmeter "4" wiring harness pads.
The voltage at the output should be about 5 V. If the voltage is not correct, the sensor power supply circuit is faulty or the computer is faulty.
6. Turn off the ignition.
Removing
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver or an 8 mm wrench, loosen the clamp securing the air outlet sleeve from the mass flow sensor housing and remove the sleeve from the sensor nozzle.
2. Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the sensor to the air filter housing and remove the sensor.
3. Remove the O-ring from the sensor.
You can verify that the sensor is faulty by replacing it with a known good one.
Installation
The sensor is installed in the reverse order.
