Remove the steering column cover (see Replacing steering column switches).

Remove the wire plugs from the ignition switch terminals (shown with instrument cluster removed).

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew one…

…and the second screws securing the ignition switch to the steering shaft bracket.

Turn the key in the switch lock to position "0" ("off"). Using a thin screwdriver, press the lock through the hole in the side wall of the bracket and pull the switch out towards you.
We install the new ignition switch in the reverse order of removal, having first inserted the key into the lock and turned it to the "0" ("off") position.
