1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. Using a chisel, remove the protective cap from the hub.

4. Install the wheel without the protective cap in place and secure it with two diametrically opposed bolts. Use a chisel or punch to straighten the dented flange of the hub nut and unscrew the nut with a 27 mm socket wrench.
5. Tighten the new adjusting nut to a torque of 1.9-2.0 kg.cm, while rotating the wheel in both directions to correctly install the bearing rollers.

6. Loosen the nut and tighten it again to a torque of 0.7 kg.cm.
7. Gradually loosen the adjusting nut by 20-25° and rock the wheel in the vertical plane until a barely noticeable play appears.
8. We lock the nut in this position by pressing the flange into the grooves on the end of the steering knuckle journal.
9. Remove the old grease from the hub protective cap and add 25 g of new Litol-24 plastic grease or its equivalent.
10. Install the protective hub cap.
11. Install the wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
