1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
3. Using a chisel, remove the protective cap of the hub.
4. We install the wheel without a protective cap in place and fasten it with two diametrically located bolts. With a chisel or beard, we straighten the jammed shoulder of the hub nut and unscrew the nut with a socket wrench by 27 mm.
5. Tighten the new adjusting nut to a torque of 1.9-2.0 kg cm, while rotating the wheel in both directions to properly install the bearing rollers.
6. We loosen the nut and tighten it again with a torque of 0.7 kg cm.
7. Gradually loosen the adjusting nut by 20-25°and shake the wheel in a vertical plane, achieving a barely noticeable backlash.
8. We stop the nut in this position by caulking the collar into the grooves at the end of the steering knuckle pin.
9. We remove the old grease from the protective cap of the hub and put 25 g of new Litol-24 grease or its equivalent.
10. Install the protective cap of the hub.
11. Install the wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
