Replacing the reflective element
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the plug.
3. With a socket wrench by 10 mm we unscrew the nut.
4. Remove the spring and spherical washer.
5. Remove the reflective element by disengaging it from the fork of the adjustment mechanism.
6. Install the new reflective element in reverse order.
Removal the mirror
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Pull it towards you and remove the mirror control handle.
3. Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the inner lining of the mirror.
4. Holding the mirror, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the three screws that secure it.
5. Remove the mirror and its gasket (shown by arrow).
Installing a mirror
We install the mirror in reverse order.
