Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the knock sensor. Using a socket wrench by 13 mm we unscrew the bolt securing the sensor to the cylinder block.
Examination
1. Connect the multimeter to the sensor terminals (in voltmeter mode with a measurement limit of up to 200 mV).
2. With a metal object (with a bolt, screwdriver) lightly tap the sensor, and the voltmeter should show voltage surges. A faulty sensor does not respond to impacts. In this case, replace it.

Note: The sensor can be tested more accurately only on a special stand.
Installation
We install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
