Examination
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
3. Pressing the spring clips, disconnect the wiring harness connector from the vehicle speed sensor.
(The original is available on the online resource vazbook.ru)

Note: Access to the vehicle speed sensor from the engine compartment is difficult due to hoses and wiring harnesses, so the wiring block will have to be disconnected by touch. This work can be done from an inspection pit.
4. Connect the "negative" probe of the voltmeter to the "mass" (to the engine).
5. Turn on the ignition and use a voltmeter to measure the supply voltage at the "+" terminal of the wiring harness connector (the terminal designation is marked on the sensor).

Note: The voltage at the terminal must be at least 12 V. If the voltage does not reach the connector or is less than 12 V, the battery is discharged, the power supply circuit is faulty, or the ECU is faulty.
Tip: You can verify that the vehicle speed sensor is faulty by replacing it with a known good one.
Removal
By hand (or with an open-end wrench by 22 mm) unscrew the sensor and remove it from the drive.

Installation
We install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
