Removing
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass and hang out the front of the car (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. We mark the position of the clips of the stabilizer pads relative to the levers for proper installation during assembly.
Attention! The right and left clips of the stabilizer pads are not interchangeable.
If we replace only the pillows, then we mark their position relative to the stabilizer bar.
3. socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the two nuts securing the stabilizer pad clip to the lower arm.
4. Prying with a mounting blade, remove the cushion clip from the lever studs.
5. Remove the pillow from the stabilizer. Similarly, remove the pillow on the opposite side of the stabilizer.
To replace the stabilizer or the pillows of the brackets for its fastening, remove the mudguard (see "Mudguard - removal and installation").
Attention! When removing the stabilizer bar, it is necessary that the load on the right and left springs of the front suspension is the same. Otherwise, a twisted shaft may straighten out when removed and cause injury.
6. socket wrench by 13 mm with an extension, unscrew the two nuts securing the stabilizer bracket to the body side member.
7. Similarly, unscrew the nuts securing the second bracket and remove the stabilizer. We clean the stabilizer bar from dirt.
8. To replace the stabilizer bracket cushion, clamp the bracket in a vise. If the stabilizer bar does not require replacement, then we mark the position of the bracket pads relative to the stabilizer bar to facilitate subsequent assembly. Lubricate the stabilizer bar with soapy water to facilitate the removal of the bracket with the pillow.
9. Turning the stabilizer bar in different directions, pull it out of the bracket cushion.
10. Use a slotted screwdriver to remove the rubber cushion from the bracket.
11. Similarly, remove the pillow of the second bracket.
Installation
1. Installation of the anti-roll bar is carried out in reverse order.
2. If the stabilizer bar was not replaced, then we orient the stabilizer pads according to the previously applied marks.
3. Wrap the nuts securing the stabilizer brackets.
4. First, install the clip on the lower stud of the lever and tighten the nut 2-3 turns. With sliding pliers we press the clip and bait the second nut.
5. After making sure that the protrusion of the pillow is in the hole of the clip, we finally wrap the nuts. Install the stabilizer clip on the other side in the same way.
