Remove the connecting pipe of the working cylinders (see Repair of front wheel brake cylinders).

By pressing the spring-loaded latch with a screwdriver,...

...we use a soft metal punch to knock the wheel cylinder out of the caliper.
If the new cylinder does not have a retainer, we move it from the old one.
Install the cylinder in the reverse order of removal. After installing the caliper on the car, bleed the brake system (see Replacing brake fluid and bleeding the brake system).
