Adjusting the camber angle (VAZ-21061)

Simultaneous removal (addition) one or more washers of the same thickness in the front and rear packs changes only the camber (this will throw off the wheel alignment) and has virtually no effect on the longitudinal tilt angle of the steering axis. Thus, the simultaneous installation of 0.5 mm thick washers in the front and rear packages reduces the camber by 7–9', and vice versa.

The camber angle is determined by the difference in distances from the plumb line to the upper and lower points of the wheel rim. A difference of 3 mm approximately corresponds to a camber of 30'.



Using a caliper or ruler, measure the distances from the plumb line to the top and bottom points of the wheel rim.
