Using a 17 mm socket, loosen the nut securing the generator to the adjusting bar (for clarity, the battery has been removed).

...using a 19 mm spanner, loosen the bolt securing the lower generator mount.
Having moved the generator towards the engine, we remove the worn belt and put on a new one.
Using a mounting blade, press the generator away from the engine, tighten the belt and in this position tighten the nut that secures the generator to the adjusting bar.
The correct belt tension is set by the amount of deflection in the section between the generator pulley and the coolant pump or the pump and the crankshaft under a force of 10 kgf. In the first case, the deflection should be 10–15 mm, in the second – 12–17 mm.
After adjustment, tighten the lower generator mounting nut and install the engine mudguard.
