We press an aluminum or wooden mandrel into the spline hole of the gear. The mandrel should enter the hole with a slight tension. Pulling the mandrel, we remove the gear from the cylinder block.
We install the new gear in place in the same way.
Caution: Be careful not to drop the gear into the cylinder block.
