Caution! Replace the coolant only when the engine is cold.
We move the upper heater control lever to the extreme right position, opening the heater radiator valve.
We open the hood.
For convenience, remove the engine splash guard (see Replacement of cushions and stabilizer bar).
We remove the cap of the expansion tank.
We remove the radiator filler cap.
We unscrew the drain plug located in the lower left corner of the radiator,...
...and drain the coolant into a pre-prepared container with a capacity of at least 10 liters.
We unfasten the expansion tank fastening belt and, lifting the tank, drain the remaining liquid from the connecting hose through the radiator. We install the tank in place.
Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the drain plug on the left side of the engine and drain the remaining fluid from the cylinder block.
We tighten the drain plugs in the cylinder block and radiator.
We pour fresh coolant into the radiator.
Air locks can be avoided by removing the rubber hose from the intake manifold. When liquid appears, put the hose on the fitting.
Having completely filled the radiator, we wait a few minutes and add liquid if necessary. We close the radiator with a plug.
Pour liquid into the expansion tank to a level 3–4 cm above the "MIN" mark.
We start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. Monitor the liquid level in the expansion tank and top it up if necessary.
The operating temperature of the engine is approximately 90°C.
