Attention! Change the coolant only when the engine is cold.
We move the upper heater control lever to the extreme right position, opening the heater radiator valve.
We open the hood.
For convenience, remove the engine mudguard (see Replacing pillows and stabilizer bar).
We remove the plug of the expansion tank.
Remove the radiator filler cap.
We unscrew the drain plug located in the lower left corner of the radiator,...
... and drain the coolant into a previously prepared container with a volume of at least 10 liters.
We unfasten the fastening belt of the expansion tank and, having raised the tank, drain the remaining liquid from the connecting hose through the radiator. We install the tank in place.
key «at 13» on the left side of the engine, unscrew the drain plug and drain the remaining liquid from the cylinder block.
We wrap the drain plugs in the cylinder block and radiator.
Pour fresh coolant into the radiator.
Air pockets can be avoided by removing the rubber hose from the intake manifold. When liquid appears, we put the hose on the fitting.
Having completely filled the radiator, we wait a few minutes and, if necessary, add liquid. We close the radiator with a stopper.
Pour liquid into the expansion tank to a level 3-4 cm above the mark «MIN».
We start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. Keeping an eye on the fluid level in the expansion tank, top up if necessary.
The operating temperature of the engine is approximately 90°C.
