Attention! In order not to disturb the balance, before disassembling the cardan transmission, we apply marks with a chisel or paint to the relative positions of its parts. The retaining rings of the cardan joints must also be installed in their original places.
We apply marks to indicate the relative positions of the shafts and forks.
We remove the retaining rings.
We install the device (see Applications) onto the hinge fork and press the needle bearing into the cup of the device until the crosspiece rests against the fork.
The bearing only extends one third of its height out of the fork.
We do the same with the opposite bearing.
Using a screwdriver, resting against the edge of the bearing housing, we finally knock the pressed out bearings out of the fork seats.
We remove the crosspiece from the fork.
