Maintenance is based on regular washing and treatment with special protective compounds. You can wash the body at a specialized car wash (only by hand, without the use of mechanical brushes) or independently in specially designated places.
For self-washing, you will need a bucket and two brushes: a large one with long soft bristles (better with long handle) for washing the body and a small one with stiff bristles for washing the front and rear body panels and wheel rims. You will also need a few rags. Do not wash the car in the sun, as well as in a dusty place with strong winds.
Warnings! Do not wipe dust and dirt from the body with a dry cloth - you can scratch the paintwork.
It is forbidden to use gasoline, kerosene, soda and sea water for washing.
You can not wash the body in very frosty weather or go out into the cold in a car with a wet body: when water freezes, microcracks can form on the paint surface.
Do not use petrol or thinner to clean plastic parts.
First, douse the body with two or three buckets of water to soften the dust and dirt. Then dilute a special car shampoo in a bucket in accordance with the instructions for use (for metallic painted bodies, purchase a special one with a drying effect).
Apply shampoo with a brush, a rag or sponge cannot be used: they retain particles of sand and dust that leave micro-scratches on the body paintwork, which makes it dull. When applying shampoo, you can gently rub the surface of the body.
Pour one or two buckets of water over the body, removing excess shampoo. Then, after rinsing the brush, use it to finally wash the body with clean water.
Let the body dry for 3-5 minutes and wipe dry, removing streaks and traces of water drips. Glasses and instrument panel can be additionally cleaned with special detergents and polishes. You can do the same with the fabric upholstery, which is useful from time to time to clean with a vacuum cleaner.
After washing, it is useful to treat the body with special polishes in accordance with the instructions for their use (see table. below).
Helpful Hints: We recommend using a vacuum cleaner to clean upholstery parts and seats.
Grease stains from the upholstery can be removed with soapy water or special interior cleaners.
Glasses are best washed with a soft cloth dampened in water with the addition of windshield washer fluid.
Wash the wheel arches either with a high-pressure water jet or with a hair brush. The bottom is easy to clean with a hair brush.
We recommend washing the bottom at least once a year, preferably before the start of winter operation, before restoring the anti-corrosion coating. Periodically wash the underbody and wheel arches in winter to clean them of salt.
