To perform the work, you will need a piece of electrical wire 70 cm long.
Examination
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
3. Disconnect the wire tip from the valve outlet.
4. With a piece of wire, connect the valve output to the positive battery terminal. In this case, a serviceable valve should work with a characteristic click. We replace the defective valve.
Removing
1. Key by 13 mm loosening the tightening, turn off the faulty valve.
Note: For replacement, it is possible to use a solenoid valve from another carburetor model by installing an idle fuel jet from a faulty valve on it, after washing it in acetone and blowing with compressed air.
Solenoid valve details: 1 - valve; 2 - sealing ring; 3 - valve needle; 4 - idle jet
2. We take out the jet by hand or, in case of difficulty, with pliers, gently holding it through a paper sheet.
Installation
1. Install a new valve by screwing it into the carburetor by hand. The rubber sealing ring of the valve must be flexible and not damaged.
2. We start the engine. If the engine runs unevenly or stalls at idle, the connection between the valve and the carburetor may not be tight. In this case, tighten the valve with a key.
