You can remove the pneumatic drive without removing the carburetor from the car. To do this, simply remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
For clarity, the work is shown on a removed carburetor.
Removal
1. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the lock washer and then the pneumatic drive rod from the throttle lever axle.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the pneumatic drive to the carburetor body.
3. Disconnect the pneumatic drive from the body. There is a sealing gasket installed between the carburetor body and the pneumatic drive. Check the condition of the gasket and replace it if necessary.
4. To check the diaphragm, press its rod down and close the vacuum supply hole with your finger. If the rod is not pressed back by the return spring, the diaphragm is in good condition. Otherwise, the diaphragm must be replaced.
5. To replace the faulty diaphragm, use a slotted screwdriver to unscrew the three screws securing the pneumatic drive cover.

6. Having separated the cover and the body, we take out the diaphragm and the return spring. We pay attention not to lose the sealing ring A connecting channel. We replace the diaphragm.
Installation
1. Before assembly, wash the metal parts of the pneumatic drive with acetone or carburetor cleaner, blow out the connecting channel.
2. Assembly and installation of the pneumatic drive is carried out in the reverse order.
3. If the diaphragm has been replaced, before installing the rod end on the damper lever axis, adjust the rod length. To do this, hold the key by 7 mm the diaphragm rod from turning, loosen the lock nut with a key of the same size. Rotating the rod in the diaphragm rod, we achieve a position so that the hole in the rod tip coincides with the axis on the damper lever.
4. Place the rod on the axle and secure it with a washer.
5. Tighten the tie rod lock nut.
