Remove the clutch master cylinder from the car (see Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement).
Using a screwdriver, remove the protective cap from the end of the cylinder.
Prying with an awl, remove the lock washer...
... and take out the fitting with a sealing gasket.
Clamping the cylinder in a vise with a key «at 22» open the cork.
With a puller or prying with a thin screwdriver, remove the retaining ring...
... and remove the parts from the cylinder body.
We carefully examine the details. The cylinder mirror and the outer surface of the pistons must not have scratches or other damage. If the return spring is deformed or noticeably reduced in elasticity, it should be replaced. Be sure to replace the rubber o-rings. Replace damaged protective cap. The fitting lock washer must not be reused.
Thoroughly flushing the parts with brake fluid, assemble the cylinder in the reverse order of disassembly.
