Adjustment of the clutch drive consists in providing clearances between the pusher and the piston of the master cylinder and between the clutch release bearing and the friction ring of the thrust flange.
The gap between the pusher and the master cylinder piston should be 0.1-0.5 mm, which corresponds to a clutch pedal free play of 0.4-2 mm. This clearance is adjusted by the pedal travel limit screw.
Gap (2 mm) between the clutch release bearing and the friction ring of the thrust flange is determined by the amount of free play (4–5 mm) pusher of the working cylinder.
You can check this gap on a viewing ditch or lift as follows.
We press the clutch release fork, resting our finger on the pusher of the working cylinder. The movement of the fork relative to the pusher should be 4–5 mm.
When you need to adjust the gap...
...keys «at 13» and «at 17» loosen locknut...
... and, holding the pusher with a key «for 8», adjust its free play by turning the adjusting nut.
After all adjustments have been made, the free travel of the clutch pedal before the clutch is disengaged should be 25–35 mm.
