Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the vehicle for operations (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing from the carburetor studs (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
3. Using a brush, clean off any dirt and wash the outer surface of the carburetor with white spirit or engine cleaner.
4. Close the air damper completely by pulling the damper control rod handle all the way out. The tail of the rod A, which connects the air damper lever to the starting device rod, should be at the end of the rod groove, but not move the rod. If necessary, bend the rod, changing its length.
5. Press the starting device rod until it stops. Measure the gap B between the chamber wall and the edge of the air damper with a template.
The gap B between the chamber wall and the edge of the air damper should be equal to 5.0-5.5 mm.
6. To adjust the air damper opening gap, use a slotted screwdriver to unscrew the adjusting screw plug.
7. Using a slotted screwdriver no more than 3.5 mm wide, turn the adjusting screw to set the required gap.
8. We check the opening of the primary chamber throttle valve on the removed carburetor (see "Carburetor - removal and installation").
9. Turn the three-arm lever A counterclockwise until it stops. Use a wire to check the gap B between the throttle valve and the chamber wall.
The gap size B should be within 0.7-0.8 mm.
10. We adjust the gap by moving the end of the rod B of the air and throttle valve drives to another hole or by bending the rod.
11. Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
