1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing from the carburetor studs (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
3. We clean the dirt from the brush and wash the outer surface of the carburetor with white spirit or engine cleaner.
4. Completely close the air damper by pulling out the handle of the damper control rod as far as it will go. The shank of link A connecting the choke lever to the trigger rod must be at the end of the rod groove, but do not move the rod. If necessary, we bend the rod, changing its length.
5. We press the rod of the starting device, sinking it all the way. We measure the gap B between the chamber wall and the edge of the air damper with a template.
Gap B between the chamber wall and the edge of the air damper should be 5.0-5.5 mm.
6. To adjust the opening gap of the air damper with a slotted screwdriver, unscrew the plug of the adjusting screw.
7. Using a slotted screwdriver with a width of not more than 3.5 mm, rotate the adjusting screw, setting the required clearance.
8. We check the opening of the throttle valve of the primary chamber on the removed carburetor (see "Carburetor - removal and installation").
9. Turn the three-arm lever A counterclockwise until it stops. We check the gap B between the throttle valve and the chamber wall with a wire.
The size of the gap B should be within 0.7-0.8 mm.
10. The gap is adjusted by moving the air and throttle actuators to another hole of the rod end B or by bending the rod.
11. Installation of all removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
