An assistant is required to complete the work.
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing from the carburetor studs (see "Air filter housing - removal and installation").
3. When the pedal is released "gas" the throttle valve of the primary chamber must completely cover the opening of the mixing chamber. The assistant presses the pedal to the stop, while the damper should fully open (take a vertical position). If necessary, we adjust the position of the damper by changing the length of the drive rods.
4. First of all, we measure the distance between the centers of the tie rod ends B (see fig. item 5), which should be 80 mm. If necessary, remove the rod and, having unfastened its tips with an 8 mm key, adjust the rod along the length. We lock the tips and set the rod in place.
5. Having removed the tip of the longitudinal drive rod A from the hinge of the intermediate lever and loosening the lock nut, we change the length of the rod, achieving the vertical position of the throttle.
6. By setting the vertical position of the throttle with the pedal pressed all the way "gas", put the tip on the hinge of the intermediate lever. We lock the tip of the thrust.
